St. Jerome (4th century) wrote, “Other creatures have been given graces drop by drop, but Mary’s Heart has been flooded with the fullness of grace.”

St. Gertrude the Great and St. Mechtilde (12th century) “My daughter,” Our Lord said “if you would please Me, offer unto Me the purest of all hearts,-the most humble and most loving of all hearts, – the Heart of My Mother”.

Blessed Henry Suso (mystic of the 14th century) was told by Our Lady, “The more your souls shall have been attached to me by a pure and spiritual love during life, the more closely shall you be united to my Heart during eternity.”

In the 15th century there was St. Bernardino of Siena, then St. Francis de Sales in the 16th century, and St. John Eudes in the 17th century, and many, many others.
